Green Methods can Clean oil spill, so why are we waiting?

Ok, I’m going to go way off topic here and talk about this oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

This devastates me. I live on the gulf coast of Florida and every day I am sickened more by what is happening. I cannot believe that BP, or any other oil company for that matter, does not have 4 or 5 back-up plans to the back-up plans should they fail. Maybe this catastrophe will force these companies into resolving this issue before drilling off the coast of any country in the future.

As to cleaning it up . . . there are two very ‘green’ methods that can be used at this very minute and why they are NOT being used boggles my mind. My suggestion to anyone on the Gulf Coast, mobilize groups, and go ahead and do this, whether it be on a local or state level. Call or write your congressmen, senators and governor. Suggest these methods. Get your own groups out to the beaches with these methods and take action on your own. We simply cannot wait to do what the government should have been doing all along.

Folks, hair absorbs oil. There have been many salons and beauty shops all around the country to donate their cut hair to use for the clean up efforts. So far, none of it has been used.

Hay is also another natural ingredient that will clean up this mess. The oil adheres to the hay, making it easy to scoop. If there’s anything in the south that is readily available, it’s hay and grass and lots of it. Please watch the attached video.

It is time to demand our government and leaders do something about this mess. If not, we, the people, will have to do it ourselves. Don’t wait for this to get to our beaches or destroys the entire eco-system of the Gulf before it spreads into the Atlantic. It must be stopped now. If there are natural methods to do so, then they must be used – now. No more waiting. Come on everyone! Please, call and demand immediate clean up efforts. The methods mentioned are free to use and will work. We owe it to our earth and to nature to try. Even if you do not live along the Gulf of Mexico, please, please, send letters and call the White House and the leaders of each of the Gulf states and beg for their approval to use these methods. It's better than doing nothing.
