Character Name - Toss Up!

I'd like to say thank you to everyone who participated in helping me find a name for my poor, lone, lost character. It has now come down to two names and I need help deciding.

Tristan???

Rusty????

I'd go with Tristan. Where I live everyone calls their labradors and golden retreivers Rusty. Lol

I think I'd go for Rusty. Both are good, but with a large cast of characters (and double names), you might want something which says 'fox' as clearly as possible, and this will stick in the readers' minds.

Brief Synopsis of In the Shadow of the Dragon King

When fifteen-year old David Heiland discovers his parents may not be dead and a secret enemy is stalking him, his world flips upside down. Before he can devise a plan to discover the truth, he is ripped from his home in Havendale, Tennessee, taken to the magical world of Fallhollow and placed in the protective care of the sorceress, Slavandria. Now, in order to return home with what his heart desires, he must seek the help of a second mortal destined to help him defeat the dragon king, Einar and recover what was stolen from the realm’s revered Gyllen Castle, all the while evading the forces trying to kill him. But there is a problem. His best friend and the girl he loves, Charlotte Stine, is mistakenly transported to Fallhollow along with him, and there is no way to return her home unless he fulfills his quest. Now he must make a choice: decline the quest, protect and keep the girl he loves safe and remain in Fallhollow under Slavandria’s protective care forever, or accept the path placed before him and risk his and Charlotte’s life all for the hopes of finding parents he’s not even sure exist. In the Shadow of the Dragon King is a 100,000 word young adult fantasy novel and is the first in The Chronicles of Fallhollow series.
